Interlas® TIG welding torches have a proud history of British manufacturing stretching back to 1982. For over four decades, the brand was produced by a dedicated UK manufacturer whose commitment to quality components and craftsmanship helped establish Interlas® as a trusted name among welding professionals across the industry.

In 2019, that business came to an end following the unexpected passing of its owner — a significant loss to the UK welding community. Rather than allow a well-respected British brand to disappear, AES stepped in, acquired the Interlas® trademark, and set about ensuring the brand's continuity.

Crucially, nothing was lost in that transition. AES continued working with the same tried-and-trusted component suppliers and manufacturing processes that had defined Interlas® torches for years. The result is a product that carries genuine heritage — the same quality, the same British-made integrity, simply carried forward under new stewardship.

Today, Interlas® torches are proudly manufactured in the UK by AES, continuing a tradition of precision and reliability that welding professionals have depended on for generations. Sales of Interlas® products continue to grow globally, a testament to the enduring quality and reputation of a brand that has been trusted by welding professionals for over forty years.
